Creating a "Child Friendly Kitchen"

For each of our valued clients, undertaking in a Kitchen Renovation in Sydney is very different for each individual. There are many aspect incorporated to each kitchen that we never create the same two kitchens, for each of clients have different interest, taste, lifestyle requirements and living needs.

Recently one of our clients undertaking in a Kitchen Renovation in Sydney and Bathroom Renovation in Sydney had one very important factor that we had to work towards - creating a ultra modern space that is child friendly.

Our client has young children and wanted to ensure that we create a space that would prevent any hazards to her young ones and the following is what we integrated to achieve just this.

1. Combine Kitchen and dining space

Opening the space between the Kitchen and Dining room connects the two rooms and whilst there are more benefits them just being able to keep a better eye on the children whilst playing, but also encouraging more interaction whilst cooking.

2. Location of Appliances

Hot appliances such a oven and cook top can be a real hazard when having little ones around the home. It is essential to position these appliances in the least hazardous position whilst designing your Kitchen renovation in Sydney.

The oven should be positioned on the wall, located at a height that little ones cannot reach, and the cook top and sink should be on the same bench as if you commence your Kitchen renovation in Sydney without doing such, then transporting a hot pot of water from bench to bench could be in fact very dangerous if your young ones are at your feet.

3. Handles

Whilst styling the kitchen flawlessly, the thought of handles is a must whilst deciding on your Kitchen Renovation in Sydney. The best solution would be the fingerpull option. Doors and drawers cannot be opened by the little ones, which isn't a bad thing as Kitchen renovations in Sydney often go for this particular style kitchen.

4. Kitchen Design

Current trend open shelves on the island bench is a stunning option for many who complete in their Kitchen renovations in Sydney. If you are one who has a young family, a closed door would be the best solution for you. Open shelves are generally positioned at the bottom of the island bench, and whilst looking fantastic it would not serve yourself or your family any favours at all.
